The Children's Ministry at Parkview exists to help
children grow:
...In Knowledge
Our hard-working volunteers are dedicated to providing
the children of Parkview with a biblical education. We
believe that a knowledge of God’s Word is foundational
for the spiritual development of children.
...In Relationships
We provide opportunities for our children to develop
relationships with God and each other. We place great
emphasis on service as an opportunity for children to
learn the value of showing God’s love to others. Serving
others teaches our children that they can share the love
of God. When they see this love in action, they
understand Him better. Of course, we also have a lot of
fun together making friends that will last a lifetime.
Bible Hour
An hour long class designed for children ages 3-3rd grade to
encourage their faith development and to help our
children focus on knowing God. We teach using song,
prayer, crafts, games, puppet skits and live-action
skits. CBH begins at 6:00 PM Sunday nights with singing
and ends at 7:00. We meet in the CTC, upstairs in The
Upper Room.

Leadership Training for Christ
This organization was designed to stimulate and
encourage spiritual, mental, and social growth among
students in grades three through twelve. Its mission is
to achieve this growth by developing skills in
leadership, Bible knowledge, and Christian servant-hood.
Skill development in each of these areas will be
accomplished through participation in a variety of
individual and group events. These events will take
place within the context of a wholesome and supportive
environment designed for the purpose of fostering
enthusiasm and high achievement among the participants.

Camps
Throughout the summer and school term, we offer camps
and lock-ins for our children to attend. These events
are structured around a Biblical story or point to
reinforce their meaning. All camps encourage teamwork,
patience, and love along with other Christ-like
characteristics.

Classes
There are a plethora of classes offered for children at
Parkview. Our curriculum covers the entire Bible, which
is updated periodically. Each student is very special
and unique, so each student will learn in a different
way. We use different modes of presenting lessons to
cater to each child's needs.

Vacation Bible School
Each summer, this fun time of learning is offered. Each
year a Bible story or theme is taught using different
mediums to present the lesson. Currently we use
live-action skits, puppets, Bible character interaction,
crafts, and the ever popular, snack time. We do not use
bought curriculum but write it ourselves. We are always
in need of teachers and helpers, so if you are one and
are reading this, keep a week open this summer. VBS is designed for
children in preschool up through grade 6.
