I graduated from the University of North Texas in 1976 with a BS Ed. and taught until 1989. I went back to college and received my Masters in Educational Administration in 1990. I then became a middle school principal. For the past three years I have served as a counselor at Gainesville High School. I was baptized into Christ in 1960, became a youth counselor in 1974 and started preaching for the Muller St. church of Christ in Gainesville, TX in 1978. I worked with that congregation until 1989 when I started graduate school. From

January of 1990 until November of 1992, I worked with the Grand Ave. congregation here in Sherman.

My family and I placed membership with the Parkview congregation in 1992 and we have been here since that time. I served as deacon for education from 1993 until 2000. The elders moved me to the prison ministry at that time and I have continued that work until the present.

One of my most rewarding works is visiting with the elderly. Each month on the 1st Saturday evening (6:30 p.m.) and 3rd Sunday afternoon (2:30 p.m.) I encourage as many as possible to go and sing to encourage the hearts of these people.

I have also been asked to be one of the Care Group leaders. I serve with group #3.
