Speaker: Brother Welton Stoker

   Welton Stoker graduated from the University of North Texas in 1976 with a BS Ed. and taught until 1989. He then went back to college and received his Masters in Educational Administration in 1990. Following that, he then became a middle school principal and later served as a counselor at Gainesville High School. Brother Stoker was baptized into Christ in 1960, became a youth counselor in 1974 and started preaching for the Muller St. church of Christ in Gainesville, TX in 1978. He worked with that congregation until 1989 when he started graduate school. From January of 1990 until November of 1992, he worked with the Grand Ave. congregation here in Sherman.

He and his family placed membership with the Parkview congregation in 1992 and have been here since that time. He served as deacon for education from 1993 until 2000. He was at that time moved to the prison ministry and continues to serve in that area. For almost two years, Welton has been serving as Parkview's pulpit minister.
