Time is ticking away my friends and VBS is almost here! Are you as excited as I am? The Captain has me gettin' the ship ready for you. I have to help clean the deck, hoist the sails, and swab the poop deck.  Even though I don't really like cleaning, I do it because it's what needs to be done... and because I was asked to do it. It's the right thing to do.

Sometimes it's hard to do something you don't enjoy, especially if it's your parents telling you to do it! But as the Bible says, we are to always honor our parents and obey what they tell us. It may seem difficult now, but God promises that all will be good in the end if we honor them.

I be back to write in the Captain's Log Book. I was talking to my mum just the other day and I made a point to tell her I love her. Do you do that when you talk to your mum? The Bible tells us to Honor our parents, and one way to honor them is to express our love for them.  You should always make a point to tell your parents or guardians you love them.

Today the Captain got wind of a map that leads to a treasure. He doesn't have it, just heard of it. I don't know much about this map, but it sure sounds like a fun adventure to me! Make sure and be here the week of July 21, and maybe we can find a map of our own!

Ahoy there! This be the cap'ins log you've found yourself upon. My name is Master Locke N. Key, right hand mate to Captain Walker D. Plank. He is one busy man so I have taken the liberty to write in his place. Allow me to remind ye scurvy dogs that VBS is just around corner. July 21st is when we set sail and I'm sure hopin' to see ya there. This year's adventure takes us on a trip by the seas in search for a treasure like you've never seen before! So write it down, July 21-24, 6:00pm at Parkview Church in Sherman. I sure hope I be seein' ya there!
