Friday Finale - July 25th

Are ye worthy to sail the seas with this crew? We have many positions available for helpers this year:

Decoration Crew: (Pre-VBS) We meet the Sunday afternoon and evening before VBS to decorate the auditorium, hallways and classrooms.

Greeters and Seaters: Welcome the children and adults as they enter, helping the kids find their seat and proper group. This position may also include crowd control during the rotations and during Canteen.

Crew Captain (elementary): You are a group co-leader that sits with the children as they enter, rotates with the group during the centers, and sits with them during the closing. Two requirements for this position include PASSION and TOLERANCE.  **MINIMAL TEACHING INVOLVED** 2 adults/1 youth per group of 20 or more.

Crew Captain (preschool): Similar to elementary navigators except rotation schedule will include snacks and different activities. You will be on your own time schedule, not having to switch classrooms when other classes do. Also, two requirements for this position include PASSION and TOLERANCE. **TEACHING INVOLVED** 2 adults/1 youth per group.

Nursery Workers: Watch the young ones in the nursery.

Puppeteers: Each day of VBS opens and closes with skits played by reoccurring characters. Puppet extras are needed each day. You will be hidden between behind scenery; must be able to control two puppets at once. No speaking lines.

Port Check-In: Register all children who enter, assigning them to the proper groups and keeping a clear record. This position also involves doing an adult and volunteer head count each day.

Runners: Every year, we seem to forget things in the CTC, in another classroom or in a vehicle. Sometimes the phone rings and sometimes a drink spills. This is where you come in. We thought we could handle the mass chaos last year, but we've wised up.
